
I don't know if you've noticed, but most national quilt shows are now requiring a quarter inch of 'give' in sleeves for quilts. In the past we've all stitched flat sleeves on our quilts; but when hung, the front of the quilt tended to bow out where the sleeve was attached. So we're now having to learn a new way to make sleeves so they poof out a bit instead of being flat.
