In a Bind (Not Really)

I made this quilt top a couple of years ago, then finally quilted it last fall. And then it sat, and sat, and sat. We have a friend who is having surgery in a few days, and thought this quilt might be a perfect "Get Well Soon" gift. So I did the binding today, start to finish. Hubby is going to hand deliver it tomorrow. Hope she likes it!
I finished the quilting on the hexie quilt. While I was on a roll with binding, I had to go ahead with it. I found the brown/white dot in my stash which makes a fun edge. It's machine stitched, but still needs to be stitched to the back by hand. Maybe tonight?

You may notice in the photo some bits of fuzz. Grrrr. Not happy with the batting I used - during the quilting process I ended up with batting fuzz all over the quilt. I kept a lint roller handy so I wouldn't quilt over a piece of fuzz. This is why it pays to use a good batting. Once I've finished the binding, I'll toss the quilt in the wash to remove my marking and hopefully all the fuzz!

Your friend will love that "get well" quilt! It's beautiful. You didn't mention the brand batting that gave you trouble....I'm curious.

How sweet of you - she's bound to love it! I'm curious about the batting, too - pls. do tell (sorry to the mfr., though)
